Actually, I’ve found it to be very helpful. Because it puts the job and lack there of into perspective. And if you’re unemployed, you need that POV shift, for sanity’s sake. You need to remember that you are far more than a job. Value and worth aren’t anymore ‘practical’ than love is. Practicality is not the be all and end all bar for what things have meaning, and what things don’t.
