When I heard Del Toro was judging a contest on Deviant Art I was like…. omfg YES! So here’s my entry for the DevArt Scared Stiff contest. I had the idea of a little girl who had a very active imagination during the day, she had crowned herself the owl princess of the backyard and would save her toys from the vicious swamp frogs and turtles that inhabited it. Then, at night these self created characters would come to life in her dreams and turn into nightmares, seeking out retribution and vengeance. So eventually, every creak and bump in the night would scare her into thinking she was going to be attacked. Until one night…
